  1. YES! i am totally obsessed with those apples this year. can't get enough. i have a basket of them on my desk at school, and sometimes kids come in and think its like a candy bowl and they take my apples. and then i get all protective and think, "noooo... those are MY apples" haha... at least they're eating apples and not twix bars all day.

  3. How awesome that you have an orchard to close to the office!

  4. I love picking apples! We go to an orchard at the top of a mountain in Charlottesville, VA. My favorites are Pink Lady apples.

  6. Here in Los Angeles we may be lucky to have Jamba Juice and In-N-Out burger, but being able to visit an orchard on your lunch break? Instead of having to plan a day trip to some sorta nearby orchard? We can't beat that!

  7. Rochester, NY rocks! Or, at least you make the city stand out in such a special way. I live in the Bay Area and can barely find the time to eat away from my desk for lunch. Keep up the good reports.

  8. I love honeycrisp apples! Are they like twice the prices of other apple varieties near you??? Here it seems like they jacked up the price because they're so popular! Of course, I still bought them.

I can't find any orchards here in NC either - I even tried to look for one when we went to the NC mountains last weekend, and couldn't find any close enough to where we were staying.

We always picked them at McPherson's orchard in LeRoy. They had an awesome apple cider mill too!
