All suited up and ready for Thanksgiving dinner production.
We got these aprons for our Thanksgiving cooking team. Gobble gobble.
The QA team was ready to test the turkey to make sure it was okay when it came out of the oven.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Really looking forward to Thanksgiving! I'm in full on turkey dinner planning mode.

We are in Thanksgiving production mode at my house. Lots of #latenightbaking.
I baked three loaves of bread for the stuffing. Aaron commented several times - we should have fresh baked bread other times of the year too... for eating!
It does seem a shame to bake that bread only to chop it up for stuffing. It's so worth it though, it makes the best stuffing.
The cranberry sauce is homemade too, from my grandmother's recipe. Can't wait to eat!
The most popular spot in our house right now is on top of this turkey rug.
I think they all take turns laying on it.
Perhaps it brings them closer to the day they will get bits of delicious, tender turkey.
Wyatt just does what everybody else does.
I got my Thanksgiving decorations up in record time this year. The days have been so sunny and bright, it got me in the mood for putting out turkeys.
I put some up in the kitchen too. The little sign is new and it cracks me up everytime I look at it.
A little something in the breakfast nook. I told Aaron it gives me something to look at while I'm eating and he clearly was offended that I wasn't satisfied with gazing at him. Haha.
The foyer blackboard got a Thanksgiving overhaul with photos and printables. For those of you following along, I'm sure you have noticed that the bucket lists generally get checked off while the "projects" seem to be sort of stuck.
Signs on our doors - thanks to Dollar Tree!
After hearing about stuffing waffles I couldn't stop thinking about it. My mom caved and let me shovel leftover Thanksgivng stuffing into her waffle maker.
It turned out just as fantastic as you think it would. The outside is crispy and the inside warm and delicous. Pour on some turkey gravy and shredded turkey and float away to leftover heaven.
I love turkey leftovers and my mom really hit it out of the park by making waffles and serving them up with leftover turkey gravy and turkey. I think it makes total sense... it's like chicken and waffles but with turkey!
As soon as I posted photos of our turkey and waffles, I heard from several friends about stuffing waffles. The idea is to fill a waffle iron with leftover stuffing and cooking into a warm, crispy waffle shape. Some recipes add eggs or stock to the stuffing before adding to the waffle maker. Either way I think this is a fab idea and might have to make some more stuffing just to try it out.
We didn't snow like Buffalo did but we did have a White Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania. The pugs did a little romping around in it.
Hugo really love tearing around in the snow. No matter how deep, it doesn't slow him down.
Oscar prefers standing about looking noble. Like a polar pug.
I saw a really great idea on Facebook for making a Thankful Jar. The idea is to start the year with an empty jar and fill it with a slip of paper when good things happen. Then on New Years you empty the jar and read all the things you have to be thankful for. I figured it could be a New Years tradition or Thanksgiving. I was pretty excited about starting our own so I made the jar now.
I found some more Thankful Jar ideas on Pinterest. The pins for these jars are: I am thankful for | Be thankful | Always be thankful | Start each day with a thankful heart | Give thanks | Give thanks
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is having a warm, wonderful and relaxing day with friends and family.
The pugs spent the morning worrying about where the turkey was.
They were thrilled when it came out of the oven.
So was Wally. It was delicious. We will have fabulous turkey leftovers for days.
I saved the wishbones from the last two Thanksgivings with the intention of doing something crafty with them. I painted them metallic and added some glitter. It was pretty clear they needed more glitter.
I don't think "enough glitter" is a thing but I think these will do for now.
I love Thanksgiving and I love turkey. One thing I think of associated with those two things are wishbones. I don't wear much gold, but when I saw these wishbone earrings at Shop Peppermint, I was hooked.
Then I was at Fahsye and they had a wishbone necklace! I am all set for Thanksgiving jewelry this year!

I took down the Halloween decorations in record time this year and up went the Thanksgiving decor.
Stores tend to move right from Halloween to Christmas so when I see a turkey or other Thanksgiving item, I snatch it up.
I have plenty of turkeys now for my Thanksgiving mantelscape.
I really look forward to Thanksgiving. I don't like to skip over it.
I set up my little holiday corner of the kitchen with Thankgiving cheer also.
This year I am hearing about a lot of stores that are not waiting for Black Friday but opening up even earlier on Thanksgiving. It feels like poor Thanksgiving is getting an even tighter squeeze than ever, much to many people's dismay.
What do you think? Woud you go Christmas shopping on Thanksgiving?
My sister and I got up early yesterday and made the turkey with all the fixins.
At one point I started calling it "My Turkey". Oscar and Hugo liked to think it was "Their Turkey".
I had spray painted my roasting pan leaves and they went on the Thanksgiving table. I had to scooch them out of the way so they didn't get smooshed in the turkey frenzy.
We had good food and family for Thanksgiving which feels like all you need. Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
I needed a little Thanksgiving in my office.
It was a five dog Thanksgiving yesterday. Everyone was in town. Hugo took a liking to my sister's dog Bronson. They played a lot of tug of war.
Traditional yearly photo of pug wistfulness.
My sister and ye olde turkey leg.
Wishbone-off. I won this year.
And yes, my sister has wrinkly little hands just like me.
