In order to get in shape for our annual trip to Ottawa for the Winterlude canal ice skating extravaganza, Aaron and I went to the rink to get in some practice. (I am desperately trying to learn to skate backwards.)
While lacing up my skates, what did I spy with my little eye, but skate blade guards on a 10 year olds skates. How cute! How brilliant! Not one to be left behind in the ice skate acrutrament department, we hot footed it over to the sporting goods store.
There I found a lovely pair of pink blade guards. With sparkles none the less! It's a shame I can't skate with them on!
