I am a tea drinker. I only drink coffee socially. While everyone is crowded around the coffee pot at work, I am steeping a tea bag. I usually have green tea in the morning. And I love green tea ice cream.

This evening at Sit & Knit, I already had an iced caramel macchiato in hand, when I spied the large sign for the new Green Tea Frappuccino. Matcha green tea with a hint of sweet melon.

Dang!

This will require a special trip to Starbucks this weekend.

  7. How funny! I just read the same post at Little Things. And my hubby said he saw them at his Starbucks near Union Square in Manhattan.

  12. you would be better served to find a shop that sells green tea bubble tea, and ask for a blended one. The frap is o.k. but the bubble tea is better!

  13. At Java Wally's (RIT) they have a mango papaya iced green tea. I have yet to try it, but it sounds fabulous. I promised Brian I would pick up one for him on the way home.

  14. Just a warning - matcha is VERY stimulating. You might not want to drink it too late at night or you will be very awake.

  15. I got one the other day! It was delicious, though not quite strong enough for my taste. A barista suggested I order it with an extra scoop of matcha powder and half the "melon" syrup (what they use to sweeten it). Hope you like it!

  20. Maybe I'm just weird, but I didn't like the green tea frap at all. I love green tea anything and after trying that last week I decided to steer clear of it in the future. But I also don't like the other frapps either, too sweet. So maybe that's the explaination? Oh well. Hope you like it more than I did.
