My friend Aprille's brother is an artist, and last year when she said that our wedding gift was "on order" I was hoping it was something he made.

I was beyond thrilled when she presented me with a box that said "Happy Wedding/First Anniversary". Inside were these amazing wire bird cages with a parrot, a flamingo and a crane inside.

First off I think they are terrific, and secondly the fact that they were made by someone we "know"... just adds so much meaning to them. We will treasure these always.
