We have harvested the first of the veggies from our garden. Three cucumbers and a zucchini. We made a cucumber, onion and tomato salad and Lucky Olive's zucchini recipe.

Whoa my goodness! Is that strawberry radioactive too? That's so huge!

wow...
Are you sure it's ok to eat that strawberry?
Haha

Ok. That is way scarier than my baby lettuce.

Gro-More Farms has these berries in their "you pick" lots. Ask the person at the register where to find "the big berries" before you start picking. My Mom's friend found berries the size of her fist! The day we were there, they had 5-6 different strawberry varieties to choose from. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you sampled a few before you decide :-)

With my homegrown cucumber and tomato, I like making tabouli!

Also, the zucchini (and my summer yellow squash) do really well on the grill, just soaked in some soy sauce for a little bit.

This post couldn't have come at a better time. I just received two zucchini and two summer squash in my CSA, so I made Lucky Olive's zuke on toast the other night (delish) and I've got your zucchini bread baking in the oven right now. I made one loaf and then a tray of muffins which are already done baking. THEY ARE DELICIOUS. Thank you!
