led lights

I just ordered these LED Christmas lights for our holiday decorating. They are amazing for so many reasons.

  • They use 80% less electricity than incandescent lights.
  • They last for about 20 years.
  • They don't get hot!

I am thrilled because we have been trying to be greener at our house, and I also fret over the risk of our lights getting too hot and catching fire.

These bulbs are suitable for outdoor use which is great because I need them for our window boxes.

I use LED lights in my NYC apartment for many of those reasons. Blowing fuses is a regular occurrence, so the lower energy draw is an enormous boon. Plus, in a crazy old apartment building with artificial trees, I just felt comfortable using something less warm. I love them! They're VERY bright, though, and because LEDs have a focused point of light they're usually surrounded with light diffusing glass. If you look at 'em dead on, though, they can be a little blinding. Still, good on ya! I hope you like them as much as I do.
