Pet of the Week

Why a black cat is named Ruby instead of onyx or ebony... I don't know. But she's got that one white whisker that cracks me up.

Ruby - #7395375

Ruby is a 9-year-old female cat who was brought to Lollypop Farm because her owner was moving and did not take her along. Ruby has been waiting too long for a new home, and she can’t wait to have a new family. Ruby is all black except for one white whisker! She likes being petted and likes head scratches, too. Ruby lived with cats and dogs in her former home and did well with them, but she may prefer to be the only cat in the household. Ruby is in our Seniors-for-Seniors program. That means adopters age 60 and over can take her home free of charge!

  1. Black cats are full of love. Mine has crossed my path several times and I have had nothing but luck!

  2. She is beautiful! I wish I could adopt her myself (I already have a little black kitty). She looks very docile and loving.
