Square Foot Gardening

I got my veggie plants, my seeds and my copy of square foot gardening. All set to plant. Well, I veered from the instructions a little bit. I divided into 9 squares rather than 16.

This years planting - Aaron's rhubard, carrots, radish, shallots, garlic, asparagus, brussel sprouts, Abe Lincoln heirloom tomato, Chocolate Cherokee tomato, lettuce, beets, yellow squash, zucchini, butternut squash, acorn squash, eggplant and grape tomato. *phew*

  1. Love the gardens! I noticed that you have the bamboo fencing up at your new house too!

Do you take it down in the fall? I have a tendency to forget and it usually falls apart from the snow.

  2. I had bamboo at our old house. At this house it is reed fence. No, I don't take it down for the winter.

  3. Per my "Haphazard Guide to Gardening" Book, my decorative stake says, "Grow, Dammit!" ;)
