Sometimes they go belly up.

Flipped over like sunny side up eggs.

Ziva has always admired the boys' pet beds when she comes to visit, so I decided to make her one for her birthday.

It's a pretty basic design of my own creation. Easy and quick to sew. Fleece is so easy to work with. And they have such nice patterns in fleece these days.

I used the catch-all Peggy made me and I don't know how I got along without it. It used to be after a sewing project, the table and floor would be covered with scraps and snipped threads. This keeps it all nice and tidy.

It's hard to sew with someone staring at you the entire time. See how he rests his chin on your knee for extra impact?

I remembered I had "Made especially for you by LJC" tags and added one of those to the dog bed.

I think Ziva liked it!

She certainly knew it was for her!

I was really excited to get a Klout Perk that was for the pugs! They were shipped three bags of Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance Dog Treats. As you can see Hugo was smacking his chops at the mere thought of sampling these treats.
Hill's sent three kinds of treats. I knew they would tear into the beef jerky strips but wasn't sure about the veggie ones - Cranberry & Oatmeal and Pumpkin & Yam. Hugo made short work off all of them without blinking but Oscar snubbed the veggie ones at first. Then he saw Hugo chomping away he decided to make a go of them and then became a fan.
All the treats were a nice size and felt substantial. If a treat is small these two have a tendency to gulp them down, so I liked these. They had to carry they off and chew on them a bit.
When you have pugs you expect to have to dole out a lot of treats. I like that these are all natural, with no corn, artificial colors or flavors. They also have lots of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. Everything a growing pug needs.

I was a big winner on Twitter! I entered the @CraftsDept #MarthaBlogger Sweeps and won this Martha Stewart sewing book!

It will be put to good use!

I also entered the @dailywag #marthablogger sweeps and won a box of goodies for Oscar!

Oscar was beside himself with his good fortune. Aren't the colors nice? Now he can nom nom in style!

I was very excited to learn that I had won the Daily Wag Twitter Sweepstakes! I love the Daily Wag - a blog from Martha's French Bulldogs, Sharkey and Francesca. I was really hoping they would be at the Bloggers Night Out (which they weren't), but this makes up for it.

Oscar is pretty excited to get the pet feeding accessories prize package. After all this twitter activity he was inspired to redesign his twitter page.

Stewie isn't one to be left behind so he started up a twitter account too.

Martha has always had lots of pets... cats, dogs, mini donkeys. I enjoy reading The Daily Wag - a blog from her French Bulldogs, Francesca and Sharkey. Martha is a huge pet fan so it makes sense that she has a line of pet products.

PetSmart is carrying her line and you can find a lot of the items on the PetSmart.com website.

I love the blue color that is used on many of the pet products.

Oscar totally needs a bathrobe. He is always shivering after his bath. His birthday is coming up in September.

Oscar isn't a big fan of stuffed toys anymore - only takes a fit now and them and chews on an old squirrel. I love this cupcake though! I would set this around as decoration!

One of the pet products on display at BlogPaws was the Mattel Puppy Tweets. It's a little electronic dog tag that sends messages from your dog to your computer and then twitter! Oscar hasn't been very good about tweeting lately so maybe i should get him one of these.

I was browsing a pet shop in the Denver airport when i spotted these. Dog treat PEZ dispensers! How cool are these?! I think Oscar needs one of these too!

I was invited to speak at BlogPaws, a pet blogger conference. As anyone that reads my blog knows, I love blogging about my pets, so I was excited to go. Really I was supposed to be talking about Kodak, but I took the opportunity to share as many photos of Oscar and Stewie that I could.
Check it out, they are models for these Top Ten Tips for Taking Great Pet Photos!

I loved seeing all the pets that came to the conference. This pug greeted guests from a reclined position all day. Most laid back pug ever.

And look at this fella. He was rescued two years ago. What a big baby!
The conference was great - good information and a lot of passionate pet lovers!

Because of the recession pets are being left behind in empty forclosed homes. Shelters need help to take care of these "Forclosure Pets". During the month of November, Envirosax is donating $1 from the sale of every every 5 bag set to the ASPCA.
So you can buy cute bags, be kinder to the environment AND help abandoned pets. They make great holiday gifts!

I saw these Scotch Fur Fighters on TV during lunch at work, and Joel told me his sister had one and it worked great.
I am so tired to rolling away with one of those sticky tape rollers. We have a leather couch, but Aaron's car seats are cloth so they are coated in Oscar and Stewie hair. Also my chair at work has accumilated a lot of pet hair to so I have high hopes for the Fur Fighter!
I was pretty bummed to find out that LeSportSac is no longer making Tokidoki bags. I was so distraught that I made a frantic bid for one on eBay and then panicked that I might actually win it. The bags are cute but pricey.

It all turned out okay because Aaron got me a Bungalow360 bag for Valentine's Day. (the heart one on the left) They are much more reasonable but still super cute! I love that the business is a one woman show although her support staff page suggests otherwise. $2 of every purchase goes to animal rescue! (check out the pic of the kitty sitting on the pig!) Oscar and Stewie are pleased.
