Christmas Stamps

Just in the nick of time, I dropped our Christmas cards off at the post office. These gingerbread house stamps are so cute. I wish they were scratch and sniff!

We mailed and handed out almost 100 Christmas cards this year. It's a lot of work but we love doing it.

I may or may not have picked these stamps up at the post office too. Not that I am a collector. I just like to put them in a book and look at them once in awhile. *ahem*

I look forward to opening the mail box each day to see what Christmas cards we got. I've been hanging them up where I can see them. A pretty good collection so far.

Martha stamp kit

Before Christmas, Aaron got me a Martha Stewart stamp kit. I used it to make gift tags for my family's Christmas presents.

I love how you can use individual letters to create your own stamp. It took me a long time to put this one togther however. Clearly I would have not been a good type setter back in the day.

Very cute.

By they way did you know Martha Stewart Crafts is on Amazon? I nearly passed out when I saw all the glitter. That banner of glitter ornaments gives me heart palpatations.

2011 Stamps

If anyone out there is fond of stamps... I mean... likes to buy cute stamps and put them in a book... y'know not like a collection or anything but... anyhow there are some cool stamps coming out this year.

Pixar movie stamps! I love the aliens.

And industrial designer tribute stamps. Perfect storm of design geekiness meets stamp nerdiness. *swoon*

stamps and chairs

Aaron brought me home a sheet of thse Eames stamps from the post office. I was really excited... no not because I am stamp collector, because I am so not... but because two of the chairs on the stamps I just happen to have...

... in mini versions! Hee! So cute.

I love mini stuff. I got these in blind boxes at the Kinokuniya book store in NYC.

This year's Oscar & Stewie Holiday Cards just arrived from the Gallery and we got them all addressed and stamped this evening.

Aren't this years holiday stamps the cutest? I should have gone with a knitting theme this year.

I have to admit it. My little nerdling heart skipped a beat when I heard that they were coming out with Star Wars stamps this year.

And it was almost too much to take when I found out some US Mailboxes were going to be converted into R2D2. I had to walk down to the corner of State and Main to see Rochester's Artoo. 

Star Wars and stamps... my two geek loves combined. *sniff*
