More on color

I was thinking more about color since yesterday's Colorgenics test. I knew that color had certain effects on our psyche but I didn't know the details of color psychology. I wish I had looked into it before I started painting the rooms in my house.

After reviewing the different effects of each color, I came up with what I think would be the ideal color for each room of ones house....

kitchen: white - it implies sterility (no salmonella here)

living room: green - it's the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision (ahhh improved television watching! So you don't miss anything on Survivor)

dining room: red - it is an appetite stimulant or yellow - it speeds metabolism ( whether you are trying to gain weight or lose it)

bedroom: pink - is tranquilizing, drains energy (great for insomniacs)

bathroom: blue - causes the body to produce calming chemicals for a peaceful, tranquil effect (as though I need more relaxation when I am soaking in a bubble bath)

office: brown - A good color to gather more information. (surf double the amount of websites you normally do!)
