I have had the new blogger comments for several days now, and have made a few changes to the post/comments page. I don't think I will be going back to the old comments system because A - that system only kept comments for a couple months and then they were gone... and B - there was a 25 comment limit.

But I don't want my comment system to be annoying. Other than the fact that you have to be a blogger user to leave an non-anonymous comment, what can I do to improve it? I mean html style wise? Are the changes I made to the page making them easier to read?

  1. Sandy... thanks for your feedback.... I guess as a designer, I am just overly concerned about the usability of the process. I want to make it easy for folks to leave comments... I love to get comments!

  2. I guess I should have been more clear that I too love your site and that is why I enjoy commenting on it. I know what you do here is a ton of work and mostly for the joy of others. My comment about my dislike for the new(now old) blogger comments, was just a comment. I felt really bad saying I didn't like the new(old) comments, so I am sorry if it made you feel like you were doing anything but an awesome, #1 super job on your blog.

I appreciate that you took time to improve the comments. I like the changes, it makes it much more readable.

    Once again, I heart ljc.

  3. this is prettier...and easier to read.

i think it is a shame that people w/out blogger accounts have to post as anonymous. the login thing is annoying, but probably just because we're not used to it yet.

  5. Well, you already know that I don't like the blogger commenting, but I do think you've improved the formatting considerably. Enough so, that I will have to get used to it, and then probably migrate to it myself.
