Oscar has been a bit sullen since we got back from Thanksgiving. He had my sister's dog, Wally and my Aunt and Uncle's new cocktail weiner dog, Ginger, to play with. Oscar could run under Wally and Ginger could run under Oscar. It was quite the mix. I took a few pictures of them dashing around...

  1. Awww to cute. Every consider a brother or sister for Oscar?

  2. A set of stacking nested dogs, just what I've always wanted. They're so easy to store.

Ginger looks like a strong wind could take her, ears-first, into the stratosphere.

  4. My dog too has been a bit sullen and lonely since we returned from my families house. He had 6 brothers/sisters/cousins to play with... Oscar is too cute.

  6. Nadine - I think Megan at Not Martha just posted that the advent calendar is on again this year but I haven't clicked on the link yet.

Jenny - those shots are great!. I love them all. You should market a calendar.

Also, after I made the turkey I figured I'd post that I used about half the butter (or margarine) as what I posted before and it turned out perfect as usual. Half a stick inside and mashed the other half outside. It was about 12 to 15 lbs and I cooked it at 350 covered for about 4-6 hours or so and then bumped it up to 365 til it was done (removing the foil at the very end and basting periodically before that). I don't write most of my own recipes down so the guesstimations are screwy sometimes. They just aren't hard to do if you feel like trying for Christmas:).

  8. Hee, we took our wiener dog to my mom's for Thanksgiving & the brother unit brought his black lab. They had a blast, for all that Phoebe is an old lady of 9, Winston is only about a year old, & Phoebe is about the size of Winston's head! You should totally get Oscar a pet dog.
