The highlight of our Saturday morning trips to the dairy is checking in on how Ginger the Cow is doing. I especially like taking pictures of her. I've chronicled her since she arrived as a little calf.

We were thrilled to find recently the dairy had t-shirts made with little embroidered emblems of Ginger. I got one of course... I like to support the local milk production team.

  1. Cows just look like such calm, peaceful animals... Maybe it's the big brown eyes! So cute! And ginger is doubly adorable!

  2. Hi ljc just stubled upon your site and love it. You really have some great ideas. This dairy, do they sell raw milk or do they pasteurize it first? I bet that is cool coming straight from the farm.

  3. The milk is pasteurized and you can get skim, 1%, 2%, whole, chocolate and seasonally... orange, grape and eggnog. The sometimes have butter too. Oh and they make a cream on top milk that is amazing too.

  4. that is so cool that you guys can get your milk from a farm like that! i love following your blog when you talk about places around rochester. I might be moving up that way soon after I finish school and it gets me excited! Keeps my nerves at bay (moving from Texas to New York is a huge difference).
