yard sale

Tina, Shruti and I went to a ginormous neighborhood yard sale today. I hit the jackpot with a Pyrex Pink Gooseberry Cinderella Large Mixing Bowl, a Pyrex 1.5 Qt Divided Cinderella Oval Casserole, a vintage aluminum cake carrier, and a gravy boat.

I really needed a gravy boat.

I really didn't need another cake carrier. Hah.

I can't see the image (Blogger!!), but I know that a) my sister picked up and considered that pink mixing bowl, and I think I know the exact cake carrier you're referring to and saw it as well. This is all conjecture, of course, until the pics show up. :)

As much as I love Pyrex, I absolutely love the cake carrier!

I agree, that cake carrier is fabulous. Definitely worth have too many cake carriers!

lucky olive - I wondered if that was your sister. They had some green melamine plates I had to walk away from.

vaxgirl - I like that it says "cake" on it... just so we know what's inside.

My mom had that mixing bowl when I was a kid. It was one of a set..until my little sister dropped and broke them!

I was in Boone, NC this weekend and the antique mall had LOTS of vintage Pyrex. Of course, I had to point it out that "rochester-blog-girl" collects it. To him you're "rochester-blog-girl" 'cause we're from Syracuse and that's how he remembers you when I chatter about it ;-) Teehee!
