Friday, March 07, 2008 I took this picture for Aaron. (I changed the plates in case you are wondering) When Aaron found out Smart Cars were coming to the US, he got on the reservation program list. Everyday he checks his inbox for the "Come and pick up your Smart Car!" email. He plans on parking his truck and driving this and his scooter everywhere he needs to go. Today I pulled up behind a Smart Car at a light on my way to work. I scrambed for my camera so he would know.... they're here! I drive by the dealer (Mercedes) every morning on the way to work! I think they started selling them on February 12th, but that could vary by state. The ones I saw though had seats that didn't move and didn't have nearly enough legroom for me (I'm 5'10" and apparently mostly legs. heh). I'm debating both and don't know anyone who has both. Let alone a scooter, too. With gas prices, though, I could be giving my jetta (Irmi) a sibling! ; ) By  Caroline, at 13/3/08 6:23 PM I picked up my Smart car on Feb. 1, and now it's hard to get me out of it. Some days I drive just for driving's sake. It's cheaper than seeing a movie and isn't fattening. And, yes, the Smart can go. It was not too far from the Albany airport. I thought of you when we stopped so he could hop out and look at them. They are awfully small.
