My new favorite greeting cards

I don't come from a big card giving family. We just didn't do greeting cards when I was a kid. We didn't send out Christmas cards either. I do remember my dad getting my mom and I each a Valentines Day card though - I have an awesome one with cuts of meat saying things like "You're Grade A!" and "You're the best, no baloney!" (I have just about every card I have ever recieved by the way)

I am into Christmas cards now... because i make them myself. A lot of thought and work goes into those each year. I have a tough time with other cards though. I just can't find ones that say what I want to in a way that sounds like me. Pair that with a design that I like and it's tough to find the perfect card.

A couple nights ago I was perusing the card aisle when I spied this collection. (MAYBE if you are a person who typically gets a card from me on certain occasions you SHOULDN'T look below!)

I like what they say and even the quirky typeface they use. I like the doodles and layers of design elements.

I like the photos and the colors.

I like the use of kittens and pugs.

They are just so ME. And then I saw who wrote them. TAYLOR SWIFT! Not that I have anything against Taylor Swift - I just never would have guessed.

So there you have it. The cutest darn greeting cards won me over. I bought a stack of them for every occasion for the rest of the year!

  6. A while back I was looking for a greeting card for a friend. I had zero luck finding what I was looking for. I told a group of friends about this problem one night while we were having a few drinks. We proceeded to get smashed and make up a bunch of greeting cards we found funny. I had been writing down the cards we made up and the next morning I read them. Much to my surprise the cards were still funny even when sober.
