Technology fail

It hasn't been a great technology day.

Found out Google is retiring Google Reader.

And my iPhone started doing this.

Technology uprising!

UPDATE: I am not testing out bloglovin, feedly and netvibes as an RSS reader replacement. My iPhone couldn't be repaired. So I upgraded to a 5. Wow it's fast.

  1. The lines of death on an iPhone. I had that happen to me with my iPhone 3Gs way back when. Is it sad that I felt like someone had punched me in my gut and then moped for the rest of the day at work until I could go to Apple?

  2. I'm very sad about Google reader. I still read ALL my blogs through a feed reader. I picked Feedly as my Google reader replacement.

  3. I await your review of the blog-reader replacements for Google's reader. I too am bummed that they're killing it. :(

  4. Right now Feedly is in the lead, even with some weird UI stuff. Been having some bugs with NetVibes.

  5. The demise of Google reader makes me sad too. But so far Feedly is a comparable replacement. Especially once I learned to keyboard shorcuts :)

  6. Hmmm I might have to check out Feedly... I too am not happy with Google Readers going away... I did see this article which reviews some of the other similar sites... I haven't found time yet to check them out though...

  7. so sad about google reader! I downloaded a couple of the replacements but logging into yet ANOTHER site is so inconvenient.

I heard about cue, but there is no good android version I can find. If I was a developer I would make a passkey program and call it Wallace because I totally want a Wallace and Gromit type machine to brush my teeth, make my scrambled tofu and log me into everything each morning!

  8. I moved over to BlogLovin. I still use Reader and probably will until it's last dying day, but I'm glad to have my blog listed over on BL. You and others here seem to feel favorable on Feedly, so I'm going to explore that too. I hope you are loving your shiny new iPhone, though!

  9. My younger brother was irritated all the time because of this same issue but after I consulted them for him, he feels a lot better and believe me every single issue is solved!
