These might not be as cool as the pyramid shaped watermelons in Japan, but I have been getting mini Dulcinea watermelons at Weggies. (check out the recipes on the site... watermelon pie, watermelon popsicles... yum)

They are yummy and isn't everything cuter in miniature? Look how happy those people are!

Which gives me an idea. Aaron is always talking about getting a motorcycle. Maybe he could just get a mini-motorcycle instead. heh heh.

  5. I've seen those little watermelons at the Safeway's here in Oregon...but they want $4 apiece for them! Highway robbery! I'm sure they taste great though.

As for the mini motorcycles, they're loud so people can see them...seems weird but motorcycles are so small that if they weren't loud, they would be hit by cars all the time. It's only for safety, not for obnoxiousness!

  6. I know you love the Lilly stuff - I saw this book at Borders and thought it would make a good addition to your Amazon wish list.

(If the link doesn't work, it's a book on decorating by Lilly Pulitzer.)

  8. I admit, I plunked down $4 for the mini-melon. And lemme tell you, it looks like a watermelon, tastes like a watermelon, but the texture is a little off. But the good thing is that it has practically no rind. It's so thin, so you're not paying for rind, or seeds for that matter. The texture freaked my husband out, and he wouldn't eat it. Go figure.
