Metathesiophobia

When we had lunch with Squib, she said something interesting. She asked me if work has been ok... mentioned that I don't write about it anymore.

Work? Oh. Work is fine. I don't know if it is a lack of anything exciting to report or the idea that you can lose your job because of your blog that has kept me from writing about it. (Not that I have anything scandalous to write mind you)

Truth is, things are changing at the office. People leaving, roles shifting. I don't think I suffer from Metathesiophobia (fear of change)... I mean... I like moving my furniture around and I don't like the eating the same food day after day... ok, that doesn't include tacos. But it certainly is unsettling. Change can be good, right? Where is my cheese? (does anyone else out there in corporate America get that reference?)

To illustrate how much I can appreciate change... check out the new banners on my project page and links page!

  1. ...Sorry...I'm back. I clicked that link. Anyway, like I was saying, that word reminds me of Lucy Van Pelt from Peanuts. I think it's the Christmas one. Love the banners. I love your kitchen.

  2. I get the cheese reference *shudders* But do you know about the fish? That's actually a good book if you haven't read it.

  3. Elaine - heh heh... well... that is my garden, that is my room and that is my sewing machine... but that is not my kitchen. *blush* I didn't have any good pic of my kitchen, so I used a stock photo. I wish it were my kitchen! :)

  4. so cute! I love the banners. Your illustrations remind me of the Super Teeny Tiny Super Guy who was on Sesame Street back in the day. He was in a glass and walk around the kitchen on mini adventures.

It was cute and so are these.

  5. Yummmmmmmm cheese! I get it. When I was moving over I was all knotted up - and still am somewhat! I try to think of it as a miniscule way in which I can be an adventurer - I'll never get to the kick-butt spy level, but I can triumph thru change!
    Now I'm hungry.

  6. Are those 4 computer screens yours? That's one thing I do miss about working in the design industry - multiple desktops. You can get your work done and check your email, aim, and listen to mp3's and no one will be the wiser...fun fun fun!

  8. Your banners are too cute! I have been playing in Illustrator for the past two weeks and have finally came up with a cute little girl for me. I can't quite get the hair for my boyfriend to work out though! Hair is tough. Anyway - I love the banners.

  10. I love the banner on the links page - I've been playing around with typogenerator, trying to come up with a new banner, but I haven't had much luck yet. Yours looks great! I like the pics on the new projects page, too!

  11. Did you see today's photo post on dooce? It's a pug! http://www.dooce.com/archives/daily_photo/09_17_2004.html .

Also, I noticed you don't have http://www.chocolateandzucchini.com on your chef links page-- you might like that site. Clotilde is a very cute foodie writer in Paris.

    Bye,
