Tina and I were in the bug at a red light yesterday when we were rear-ended. The light turned green, but the car in front of me was making a left turn, so we didn't go. The Mountaineer behind me had different plans, however.
It doesn't look that bad, but when you open the trunk you can see how the whole back end is smooshed in. Poor bug.

No one likes to have a smashed bug, unless it is creepy like an earwig!

Sorry about your smushed bug. My green bug has been through the wringer lately. The running board is scrapped on the right side where I turned short and a few weeks ago I backed into a pedestrian (he's okay, thank god!).
Plus, I have faux leather seats and it's already hit 100 degrees here. I think it's time to trade the beetle in.
