So our purple painting job is done. I made a project page for it. When I am in the room, it seems like it should smell like grape.

It's been awhile since we have painted. Next up... the bathroom and the kitchen.

  3. Hey Jenny,

You can avoid the paint smell and a lot of the fumes by putting a few drops of vanilla extract in the gallon of paint. -Lindsey

  4. Greg & I painted our bedroom that color when we lived in a tiny apartment in DC. I loved it! (But it was horrible to paint it white when we were moving out...)

I really like the shot of the green & purple rooms from the orange hall.

  8. I really love the colors you use in your house. I'm sure they will help cheer up the sad upstate NY winter feeling. =-)

  9. Please send Aaron to my hubby for a little chitchat about openminded decor. My house is WHITE ALL OVER! Well, except our bedroom which I painted in a dark green & sandy tan scheme a couple years ago while he was working swing shift (heh). I convinced him it was "nesty" and he actually likes it but won't let me go crazy with the rest of the house. Wah!
