I had heard that there was a chance of snow last night, but when I got up this morning all was clear. Snow in the second week of October? Bah!

Then I parked next to this car in the parking lot at work. It had a good six inches of snow on top of it. They must have driven in from west of Rochester, because from there to Buffalo there was one to two feet of snowfall last night.

Note the cans of gas in the back too... probably in case they got stuck on the thruway.

  1. My dad was stranded on I-90 for 15 hours thanks to the snow. The usual 12 hour drive from Maine to Michigan is taking him 30-something hours.

  3. Considering that it was 95 degrees here just the other day, I am very jealous of those that got snow yesterday/today.

  5. My family lives in Buffalo. Luckely, they have power. I have read those stuck on I-90 had food and water delivered to them by volunteers on snow mobiles. How most didn't run out of gas I would like to know.
