Last spring on a whim I planted strawberry popcorn in my garden. We just "harvested" it. I got about eight little funny ears of it.

The dilemma.. they are so cute as fall decorations... especially next to mini orange pumpkins. But I also just got a new fireplace popcorn popper.

Where should it go? In my dining room table centerpiece or in my tummy?

Pop the kernels from one ear. If it is yummier than regular popcorn, keep one or two for decorating, if not, decorate with the rest. Alternately, keep one ear for planting next year.

yes at least try one...I'm having a confusing day LOL. Are they just the color of strawberries or do they have a strawberry flavor? Also did you plant them in ground or in pots?

Aww no... they don't taste like strawberry... that would be awesome!

And the corn was planted in our raised garden bed.

I just got some popcorn from the Pumpkin Patch and they said that the corn needs to dry until January before it is popped. You can have your decoration and eat it too...

Oooo good to know.

Awwww, anonymous beat me to it. I was going to tell you to dry it (as a decoration) and then pop it. Let us know how it tastes!

Dang ... always a day late and a dollar short ... I was going to say the same thing!

That is the greatest corn ever! And, too bad it doesn't taste like strawberry. That would be very intersting for sure.
