This weekend, when we were at our favorite breakfast spot... I noticed this on the table. Wednesday is National Pie Day! Pies are starting to edge in a little on cupcakes popularity for me.
We just watched Waitress and she made pies like Mermaid Marshmallow Pie and Falling in Love Chocolate Mousse Pie. Boy was I hungry for pie after that.
And of course, my favorite show Pushing Daisies always had lots of pies at the Pie Hole.

where is your favorite breakfast spot? my boyfriend and i disagree... he likes the cheap-o bfast spots where you can walk away with a bill of $9 for the two of us to eat breakfast. while i do love a good deal, i like a nice atmosphere... so i like eating at jines or starry nights in the summertime (outside) and i did enjoy breakfast at first taste before they closed!

kimberly - our spot is Jim's Restaurant on Winton. You walk away with a $9 bill but the food is GOOOOOD. And everyone there is so nice. We are regulars.
Oh, that sounds like a good excuse to make a pie. Hmm, time to get baking...
I love pies AND cupcakes. I guess pies are more winter and cupcakes are more for summertime. That's a good way to decide which to eat.
Oh my gosh a bakery called the Pie Hole? That is hilarious (I've never seen the show)! Hee!
