Domo Birthday Cake

Today was Aaron's birthday so I made him a Domo birthday cake. I had been planning this for awhile. When I saw JustJenn made Domo cupcakes I was happy to see that Domo does indeed translate well to baked goods.

I think the birthday boy liked the Domo cake.

    Holy cow, so cute! I have to wonder if the real Domo felt upstaged by his copy cake...or creeped out when you guys ate him.

    Genius!! It is too cute!!! Is there a recipe to follow? Could you perhaps post the steps to making Domo, please? Cos I'm quite a idiot at baking. ={

    deboraht - everyone should have a domo cake!

    moodlesoup - this was the easiest cake I have made. I baked a regular chocolate cake (from a box mix even!), popped it out of the pan, cut it up like this...
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/ljc_pics/2906447456/ then frosted it with chocolate frosting. The eyes, mouth and teeth are rolled fondant dyed with food coloring.
