Ever since I was a waitress in college my back hasn't been 100%. It hurts when I get up in the morning. (No I don't want to go to a chiropractor) I have heard some good things about memory foam mattresses but our current mattress is still good. So Aaron found a memory foam mattress topper online.
Oh ho ho ho... eeet is soooo nicccccce. No more back pain the morning. Thank you Serta sheep.

Is the height of the memory foam topper as high as the actual mattress?
Regarding back pain, I found that wearing shoes with good arch supports helps. I like Dansko clogs. Great for standing all day at tradeshows.
The topper is four inches high.
Standing is not a problem for my back... only laying down makes it hurt. So strange.
My hubby bought one but I find it shifts alot. Any ideas on how to get it to stay put?
Please post your verdict on what you think of it once you've had it for a while. I'd love to get one but don't have the money to invest if it ends up being worthless. Thanks!
ours shifts, too! actually, we have to re-make our entire bed almost ever night. meaning the mattress topper shifts and we have to put it back into place, put the mattress cover back on, secure the bottom sheet and then make the top... daily. its so comfortable and i won't take it off my bed, but really, i could do without the entire re-make of the bed every day!

does your bottom sheet cover the topper and the mattress? You might try a deep pocket bottom sheet? Perhaps that would hold them in place. Also, maybe a cotton (terry type) mattress cover over your mattress, so there is a layer between the mattress and topper - not so slippery.
You could also try elastic loops over the corners of both pieces, like you wrap ribbon around a package, to hold the corners together with the mattress?
I want to get one of those - they look comfy! my mom just picked up a 3" one at Costco.
For the shifting problem, may I suggest a cushion grip non-skid mat? I have one between my futon frame and futon mattress and I bet it'll work between a mattress and a foam topper. =)
i couldn't stop thinking about this topper, so i ordered one. I can't wait for it to arrive. i am sick of waking up with a backache!!
