Bogless

While I was on my way to a conference in Boston this week (well, in proximity to Boston) I spotted a sign for a cranberry bog. I had a little time to spare and visions of oceans of berries danced in my head so I went to check it out.

Well apparently September is cranberry season so all I saw were dried up empty bogs. Not a single cranberry in sight. Disapointment.

I did take a few nice pictures of the wetlands.

What gorgeous pictures - the colours of the leaves on the trees are beautiful.

It looks so serene and picturesque at the cranberry bogs (sans cranberries). Great pics!

I really really like the "trees" one.

I was really excited when I saw that first photo of the bog sign. I like the Ocean Spray ads of the guys in the bog. Ah well. Another time. Love that last photo.

Forgot to mention earlier, but I am adoring the honeycrisp banner.

That is so cool...Our leaves are not yet turning here in Jersey....and i believe Jersey is one of the largest cranberry producers, but hell if i know where the bogs are..i will have to check it out! Happy Fall!

I agree, they're not much to look at this time of year, but the scenery and the scent of the crisp fall air make up for it IMHO.
