New Years Eve at the Cabin

We spent our traditional New Years Eve evening at my grandparent's cabin. Aaron and I went up earlier in the day to help get it ready.

I shoveled.

And Aaron lit the lanterns. There is no electricity.

He did a pretty good job.

My mom also had the idea of lighting candles and placing them on the cabin porch.

Oscar the arctic pug and Wally had a good time at the mountain.

Stewie had a party at home and we found him in a fine state the next morning.

  1. Could that cabin BE any more charmingly cabin-y?
    I love it!

  2. What a great cabin! What kind of dog is Wally?

  3. Amazing. No electricity, really. If you have the time, can you share how everyone stays warm and manage to celebrate and eat the shrimp feast in a cabin with no electricity., what about the bathroom situation?

you are a true pioneer ljc!

fyi - you probably know this already but your cabin posting published twice.

  4. After our Xmas - which was quite catnip and toy chasing filled for the boys, I got a little worried when Murphy wasn't wrapped around my ankles the next am when I got up. I found him crashed on the loveseat - VERY bleary eyed.
