New Years Eve at the Cabin

We spent our traditional New Years Eve evening at my grandparent's cabin. Aaron and I went up earlier in the day to help get it ready.

I shoveled.

And Aaron lit the lanterns. There is no electricity.

He did a pretty good job.

My mom also had the idea of lighting candles and placing them on the cabin porch.

Oscar the arctic pug and Wally had a good time at the mountain.

Stewie had a party at home and we found him in a fine state the next morning.

  1. Could that cabin BE any more charmingly cabin-y?

  3. Amazing. No electricity, really. If you have the time, can you share how everyone stays warm and manage to celebrate and eat the shrimp feast in a cabin with no electricity. and...um, what about the bathroom situation?

you are a true pioneer ljc!

fyi - you probably know this already but your cabin posting published twice.

  4. After our Xmas - which was quite catnip and toy chasing filled for the boys, I got a little worried when Murphy wasn't wrapped around my ankles the next am when I got up. I found him crashed on the loveseat - VERY bleary eyed.
