I can smell a cupcake a mile away. Ok, well maybe not exactly, but I did spot a sign for Teacake Bake Shop across from our hotel. After work today we walked over and bought some cupcakes and cookies. They were delicious and I loved the pink box they came in. Dangerous thing, how close they are to the hotel.

I have to stop there everytime I go shopping at Bay Street. They really do marry presentation and deliciousness well.

How cool that you are in the Bay Area! Have you ever thought about doing a casual meet-up with all your fans here? It reminds of the episode of Sex and the City when Carrie goes to Paris and finds out she has a dedicated fan base there! Since you are a bit of a celebrity in the blog world, I am sure your fans would love to meet you. Or would that be too psycho?

I've heard Teacakes have better cookies than cupcakes..is it true? It's on my to do list and it's not as far for me just haven't gotten to it yet.

Oh, and meeting you would be sooooo cool too.

From a regular reader of your blog.

Ooh, I just realized that you must be staying on my side of the Bay! Consider going to Rick & Ann's for breakfast before you head home. They are in Berkeley at 2922 Domingo, right across from the lovely Claremont hotel (a great place to have a cocktail later, and watch the sunset). http://www.rickandanns.com/restaurant.html

I had red flannel hash at Rick and Ann's this morning! And the whoopie pies at Tea Cake are the best! SO are their cookies! Have pizza at the cheeseboard on Shattuck, and also at Pizza Gioa on Hopkins, And go to either the Berkeley Or San Francisco Ferry Building farmer's market tomorrow! Happy to have you here!

gem - oh wow really? I never even thought of that. We have been running around seeing stuff and trying to meet up with some friends... I will have to see. I just read this comment today... trying to get caught up. Maybe this week I could be at a coffee shop if someone wanted to stop by?

I am also a fan of yours from NorCal and am delighted you're even in the same state as me!

Love Teacakes. The sugar cookies are the best. Hope you enjoy your trip!
