Another highlight of Chicago was the Saturday Night Cupcake Buffet at The Greenhouse at the Ritz Carlton.

cupcake buffet

There were 11 kinds of mini cupcakes.

cupcake 1

Carrot cake, double chocolate, hazelnut praline and tiramisu.

cupcake 2

Raspberry sacher, black bottom, banana and tres leches.

cupcake 3

Black forest, boston cream and vanilla buttercream.

Yup, I had one of each. I was full as a toad, but it was soooo worth it!

My my my you are the Cupcake Queen, aren't you? And "full as a toad" to boot. I never heard that expression before. And I'm from PA and have lived in upstate NY, like you. Where'd you get it from, or was it just the sugar overload talking?

Oh, the decadence. If heaven exists, that is what it should look like.

Jenny, this is completely off the subject, but have you heard about the MSNBC "you and a celebrity" picture contest? I thought of you. Here is the link . . .

My favorite was the banana. Yum yum.

annegret - my dad always said "Full as a toad". Those toads always look like they have full bellies.

yvette - that contest looks awesome.. I would love to send my martha picture... but I don't know if she would mind... I don't want to anger Martha!
