Look at me with another beauty post! I'd had it with my old curling iron. I was spending way too much time holding it up to my head, staring in the mirror, waiting for curls to take hold. I don't even do that much but it wasn't cutting the mustard.
A trip to the store and I spied a GOLD curling iron. Well that must be top notch right?

I've been growing my hair for a long time. It was starting to get in my way and I was up for a change.
So chop chop! Now I have a 12 inch locks of love donation...
... and a kicky new hair cut! My head feels ten pounds lighter.
We are having a heat wave and I'm doing everything I can to stay cool. That includes keeping this mass of hair off my neck. Today... Swiss Alp braids. I don't know what this hair style is named, so I called it that. I could go for some fondue now.
I just got my hair dyed blue. I think it all started with this t-shirt. No wait... it started with the color scheme of Beth and Lisa's wedding... even their getaway car was this shade of blue.
I was due for a refresh of color on my hair awhile ago... started thinking about blue. I just got these earrings in Vegas... blue was on my mind.
Blue... tahdah!
I like it when just a little peeks out.
So it was time for a haircut and I wanted to do something new with my color streaks underneath so this time I went with purple! I can hear my mum groaning now, but check it out! Even though it was a very bright purple it turned out pretty subtle. I like it.
I wanted to do something different with my hair for my birthday next week so I went with red streaks. I haven't taken a good picture of it, but here is a photo of it in Starbucks...

My hair is getting longer and when it is having an off day I like to wear it up in a twist. The last time my hair was long, I used a butterfly clip to hold it in a twist, but now I am wondering if butterfly clips have gone the way of the scrunchy. (I loved scrunchies! I had them in every color!)
I was really interested in the bandette comb NotMartha blogged about but I haven't been able to find one anywhere.
I did however find this really simple plastic clip. No hinges, no clasps, really basic.
And it works! It works great! Wow you can really see the blond when I twist my hair up.
When I was trying to take a picture, it was only a matter of time before someone came along and had to give it a sniff.
