Cherry Blossom Frappuccino

To celebrate spring, Starbucks is offering a limited edition Cherry Blossom Frappuccino. It's only available between March 15 and 20. It's pink and green... of course I had to try it. Luckily it does not taste like a Cherry Blossom. It is "a blend of sweet strawberries and cream with white chocolate sauce and matcha drizzle, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha." Then again it doesn't taste like cherry either, which upset some people apparently.

The thing that amazes me the the amount of news this created. The Cherry Blossom Frappuccino was covered by CNN Money, Fortune, Money and many more. Who knew one frozen beverage could shake things up so much?

Starbucks Date

Starbucks totally sucks me in with their marketing campaigns? Tell me there is an exclusive drink available for a limited time only and I cannot get there fast enough. The new Molten Chocolate Latte, Molten Chocolate Frappuccino, and Molten Hot Chocolate are only being served the week before Valentine's Day.

When we went to try them out (I wasn't kidding) I found a box with big coffee props that we could pose with and take pictures using the hashtag #starbucksdate

The entire campaign was around going to Starbucks for a #starbucksdate. How cute is that?

Oh and the new drinks? Delicious!

Check out the heart reusable cups they had! Oh and the Starbucks Valentine's Spotify list!

Starbucks Mini Frappuccino

I love mini things so I about flipped my lid when I found out Starbucks had Mini Frappuccinos!

Limited time?! Noooo. They must stay forever.

This is how they shrink them down to the perfect mini size.

My new frap flavor of choice right now is s'mores by the way. I love the marshmallow.

Funny story. Frappuccino cookie straws. Aaron got each us one. I thought they were to be used like a straw. He said no way - too small. So I munched and crunched it like a cookie. Turns out frappuccino cookies straws are totally to be used as straws. I want a do-over.

So a Starbucks s'mores mini frappuccino with a cookie straw is pretty much a perfect summer drink.

Birthday Frap - I hardly knew ye

A couple weeks ago, I started noticing pink colored Starbucks frappuccinos in people's Instagram feeds. They were being referred to as "Birthday Frappuccino". I blathered on to Aaron about them endlessly until he finally said we should go and get one.

We asked our local barista if they still had them and she said sure. What I picked up at the end of the counter however was topped with regular white whipped cream. "Oh. We are all out of the raspberry whipped cream" she told us. We tried again at another Starbucks and the same thing happened.

I checked online (something I should have done sooner) to find that yes, the Birthday Frap is supposed to have raspberry whipped cream but the Birthday Frap was a limited time drink from March 26 to 30 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Starbuck's frappuccino.

You might say that the only thing I was missing from the Birthday Frap was the raspberry whipped cream but let's stop and think about that. Raspberry whipped cream!

Cue sad trombone.

Stewie and Starbucks

I don't know if its the treats from his Meow box or what but Stewie has been in fine form lately. *wink*, *yawn*, *smooch*

He kind of reminds me of the sassy cat in the Starbucks Frappuccino animation. Which I love by the way.

Fall approaches

September rolls around and BAM it feels like fall. That back to school feeling is in the air.

On the up-side the fall drinks have returned to Starbucks. My all time favorite - salted caramel mocha is back!

Starbucks and Fall

I love fall. I especially love when the fall drinks hit Starbucks. Salted Caramel Mocha is my all time favorite.

Now they have salted caramel cake pops!

I have been getting a lot of Starbucks Klout Perks lately. Can't wait to try this bottled Frappuccino!

Klout Perks: Starbucks Refreshers

I just got the first shipment in a round of of Starbucks Klout Perks. A can of Starbucks Refreshers... raspberry pomegranate. When I was traveling recently I got a packet of the Refreshers Via mix. I didn't like it as well as the Refreshers you get freshly made in Starbucks but it was very convenient to pop a packet in a bottle of water on an airplane. I was curious to try the canned version compared to the fresh and the Via powder.

I would say it doesn't taste as good as getting it fresh at Starbucks but it is peppier than the powdered version. Since Refreshers have green coffee extract aka caffeine, it makes a nice afternoon pick-me-up for when you don't want another cup of coffee. I know a few people that like caffeine but don't like coffee that would appreciate these also.

Starbucks petite treats

Starbucks now has petite desserts.

Is Starbucks following my blog? Yes, I am a fan of all mini food. But look at these mini treats... I have mentioned most of these in just the past few weeks. Cake pops?! Salted Caramels?! Whoopie pies and mini cupcakes go way back!

Crunch Berry Frap

One evening after work Aaron asked me if I wanted a Crunch Berry Frap at Starbucks. i was shocked that Buck Bucks branded a drink that but turns out its an "underground" drink.

If you order a Strawberries and Creme Frap with a shot of hazelnut it tastes just like Captain Crunch Crunch Berry cereal! I have read on some sites that you should get a shot of toffeenut too, but i haven't tried that. With just the hazelnut it really does taste like Crunch Berry! It's amazing!

Etch a bucks

I saw this in a Starbucks in Columbus. Aside from being terrified that i would knock it over reaching for my white chocolate mocha and erase the entire thing - i thought it was pretty cool!

Travel Mug

Aaron found this travel mug on clearance form Valentines Day. I can hardly stand it... bunnies, squirrels, deer AND mushrooms! It's like it was made for me!

New Starbucks Ornament

My Starbucks ornament collection has been slowly growing.

This year I added a little cold drink cup - love it! This is what I get my iced coffees in during the summertime. So cute!

Xmas at Starbucks

It's Xmas at Starbucks! I love the cold drink cups with the candy cane straws. I already have a cold drink cup so I can't justify getting another for the straw but they sure are cute.

When you make a certain dollar amount purchase at Starbucks you get this Xmas CD. One trip picking up coffee for office mates and I had one.

Scooters at Buck Bucks

We finally got our scooters out on the road this season. Aaron's needed a new battery. To celebrate we took them to Buck Bucks.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. We slept in every morning and had breakfast at our favorite places...

We had the new Starbuck's breakfast sandwiches (good), Jim's Restaurant coffee cake, and Public Market breakfast tacos.

We had iced coffee everyday. Aaron broke down and got one of the double walled cups too, only Venti sized.

Aaron tore down a wall in the basement and started our basement improvement project.

Outside, I planted our window boxes, herbs and then we planted our garden.

A lot of work but we also saw "I Love You Man", "Terminator Salvation", "Night at the Museum" and watched "The Happening" on Netflix.

And we didn't turn the TV on once this weekend!

New Starbucks cup

Now that it is warming up outside I am switching from my Starbucks hot white chocolate mocha to iced mocha coffee. Aaron got me this reusable cup with double walls that doesn't get moisture on the outside. I love it! Problem is I can suck down one of these babies in about 3 minutes flat.
