New gum

I am such a sucker for new gum flavors. I was extra done for when I saw this Orbit Mist has "A Hydrating Sensation with micro-burst". In Mango! Yum. And Watermelon! Yum.

The micro-burst didn't blow me away with overwhelming hydration, but the flavors are very tasty.

Stewie's new toy

We finally saved up enough kitty litter points to send away for something fun for Stewie. This kitty back scratcher showed up at our door last week.

"Whut is theese?"

"Ohhh nice. Rubba rubba."

"Psst. I'm gonna eat your leetle googly eyeballs."

"Haw haw... mmmm" *rubba rubba*

I think he likes it.

Poor Rascal has been to Lollypop twice even though he sounda like a great cat. Won't someone take him home for keeps? Look at that "come hither" stare.

Rascal is a great kitty who has lived with dogs, cats, and children and liked them all. He would be a great family pet. Come out today to see how wonderful Rascal is! - Lollypop Farm

Envirosax giveaway winners!

I was so amazed and excited to see how many giveaway entry comments I received for the Envirosax bags! A huge thank you to everyone! There were so many great comments and it was really hard to pick.

Here are the two winners...

Because I thought it was so creative to write a poem... here is the first winner...

I'd take jars of red jelly to eat on the moon
And peaches to suck as I fly past the sun,
Plenty of choc bars for shooting past stars,
And cupcakes to give to my new friends on Mars,
I'd gaze back at the earth, and smile and relax
'Cos I'm carrying my snacks in Envirosax!

And because #1 you gotta feel bad for her and #2 kudos for being brave enough to talk about her big pink hemmorroid pillow... here is the second winner...

It looks so cute and just the right size for my pillow, by big pink rubber round donut pillow, that I just got for my broken butt :-) Fractured my tailbone and they tell me not to sit for a few weeks...how the heck do you do that? So I go get a big stinky rubber pillow and notice they try to make it look prettier by having a flower design around the edge...but really I don't want to have to explain to everyone why I'm carrying a big pink hemmorroid pillow with me everywhere I go, so pick me! :-)

Vic and Kendra... can you email me at ljcfyimail AT gmail.com so I can get your shipping info?

Congrats and thank you everyone!!!

Gimme that fish

Every once in awhile there is a commercial with a song that I just can't get out of my head. Apparently I wasn't the only one wondering about the lyrics to the McDonald's Filet O'Fish song.

Gimme back that filet-o-fish
Gimme that fish
Gimme back that filet-o-fish
Gimme that fish
What if it were you
hanging up on this wall?
If it were you in that sandwich
you wouldn’t be laughing at all!

Aaron caught me singing it and he accused "You googled the lyrics didn't you?!"

Yes. Yes, I did.

Nissan Cube

Aprille told me to go and check out the new Nissan Cube, that it was really cool. Boy, was she right!

I love funky looking cars and this wrap around rear window blows me away.

The website for the Nissan Cube is cool and I love all the special features and details that are built into the car. Like the ripple design that is repeated in the speakers, rear window panel and cup holders.

Aprille also told me about the 3D brochure. I thought maybe it was a pop up card or something but the video makes it look like viewing the card through your computer camera makes it 3D. I requested one and I can't wait to see what it is.

chocolate bacon bar

Aaron was busy talking to a friend at Wegmans and left me unattended for too long. As a result I wandered off and found a chocolate bar with bacon in it.

I have been curious about chocolate covered bacon for awhile, so when I saw a conveniently packaged, ready to go Vosges Mo's Bacon Bar, I couldn't resist.

It was tasty... salty and sweet. The bacon bits are quite small though, my appetite has been whet and now I want a true strip of chocolate bacon.

Two thoughts - #1 Who is Mo? #2 How long did it take them to find the ideal strip of bacon to feature on the packaging?

Envirosax giveaway!

I am a huge fan of Envirosax, so I was super excited when they contacted me and asked if I would like a sample and have a giveaway on my blog!

I will pick the two best comments... so have fun with it! I'll leave it open until Friday at midnight and announce the winner here on Saturday!

UPDATE: I can't believe how many comment entries I got! I am reading them and will post the winner as soon as I can!

Blouse photos

My other new kick is cute blouses with frilly collars to wear under cardigans.

I really like this yellow one... I think I could use more yellow in my wardrobe.

I'm so happy it's light out when I come home from work, I can take pictures for my blog.

Aaron saw me taking pictures of my shirts but he didn't ask... I guess he's seen me take enough pictures of my shoes.

Rings

It seems I am into big rings now. I can't help looking for them when I am out and about.

Hopefully they distract the eye from how wrinkly my hands are!

This is the big daddy of all my big rings.

Pet of the Week

Just in time for spring! A buddy to go on walks with!

Samson - #6331188

Samson needs a good friend! This 2-year-old male foxhound mix is a little shy and needs a patient person to help him come out of his shell. Obedience classes would help him out -- and if you choose the classes at Lollypop Farm, you'll get a discount! Our volunteer dogwalkers say that after an initial burst of energy outside, Samson is obedient and attentive on the leash. He needs to meet any kids or dogs at home before being adopted, and he would do best with older children. - Lollypop Farm

Quentin was adopted!

Brownies

I have been feeling under the weather and all I feel like doing is laying on the couch and watching cooking shows.

Lucky for me, Aaron watches them too and gets inspired. After an episode of "Giada at Home" Aaron made these Chocolate Raspberry Bars with White Chocolate and Almonds.

Pet of the Week

OMG does Quentin have the cutest little kitty face? Can you imagine waking up every morning to this mug? *pat pat* "Heh-row" Annnd, he gets along with bunnies!

Quentin #7223519

Quentin was brought to Lollypop Farm because his previous owners were experiencing personal problems which left them unable to care for him any longer. He has lived with cats in the past and has made friends with a couple bunnies that he has had the opportunity to meet while staying with us at Lollypop Farm. Quentin is a wonderful cat with a sweet, easygoing personality. He qualifies for our Seniors-for-Seniors program, which means that any adopter age 60 and over can bring him home for free!

Photo Cup Wraps

Here is a St. Patrick's Day project I came up with for work. Photo cup wraps jazz things up for parties and helps your guests keep track of their drinks.

You can go here to see the step by step instructions and download the cup wrap template.

Someone on Craftster wondered if it would be a problem if the cups sweated and got the wraps wet and someone else had the great idea of laminating them and reusing them!

Plates

The last time I was at Anthropologie, I picked up these two plates that were on clearance.

They don't match but they look really nice hanging on our dining room wall.

I got the plate hangers at Michaels and Aaron hung them for me. Looks like there is room for a few more up there.

St. Patrick's Day and beans

Today was my friends Sarah and Denis' annual St. Patrick's Day party. I was sporting my shamrock shades. I don't know why Tina and i look so serious.

There was corned beef and cabbage aplenty.

Aaron and I brought a bean salad my grandma gave me the recipe for. Here it is if you would like to try it out. If you like sweet pickely things you will like this. It's pretty tasty.

3/4 cup sugar, 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1/3 cup oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 can green beans, 1 can yellow beans, 1 can kidney beans, 1/2 cup inch slices of onion.

Heat sugar, vinegar and oil together until sugar is dissolved. Cool and poor over beans. The longer they soak, the better they taste.

Driving Hamsters

Aaron and I went to the movies with Chuck and Tina last night and the best part of the movie was the Kia Soul commercials with the hamsters.

Instead of running in hamster wheels, these hamsters were rolling in a Kia Soul.

I loved how their heads were bobbing up and down.

They even had their own little hamster iPod. So cute!

New Report

It was quite the afternoon today. Channel 8 news came to my office to talk to me about twittering for Kodak. My desk was sort of a mess and I wish I had sat up straight in my chair so I didn't look like a meatball in a blue sweatshirt, but here it is anyhow.

Fur Fighter

I saw these Scotch Fur Fighters on TV during lunch at work, and Joel told me his sister had one and it worked great.

I am so tired to rolling away with one of those sticky tape rollers. We have a leather couch, but Aaron's car seats are cloth so they are coated in Oscar and Stewie hair. Also my chair at work has accumilated a lot of pet hair to so I have high hopes for the Fur Fighter!

Mini burgers

I am so down with the BK Burger Shots. Mini burgers people!

I kinda feel like a sucker, because the commercial makes fun of the fact that girls think they are cute and little.... BUT THEY ARE CUTE AND LITTLE!

I love mini food. I can't help it.

Pretzel Roll

Aaron found these pretzel rolls at Wegmans. It's a pretzel. It's a roll. What's not to like? Especially when you make it into an egg salad sandwich. Yumms.

Froggy Cupcakes

It's almost St. Patrick's Day, so it's time for the froggy cupcakes at Wegmans.

Of course I had to get one. It's a yearly tradition.

Lollypop Farm: Pet of the Week

I missed Pet of the Week last week when I was in Vegas, so there are two today.

Lady Gwen #7248271

Lady Gwen is a 4-year-old German shepherd mix who is looking for a new home. Lady Gwen likes people and has a beautiful soft coat. This great girl has lived with children in the past and did well with them. We do recommend that she meet any kids in the house before going home with an adopter. Lady Gwen would do best as the only dog in the home, and she needs to be in household without cats. - Lollypop Farm

Stratus #7001944

Stratus is a 7-year-old female cat who was brought to Lollypop Farm by her family because their landlord did not allow pets. This pretty girl loves attention. She likes being petted and will meow as you pet her! She likes chin rubs and belly rubs, too. Stratus seems to be a bit afraid of children and would prefer to be the only cat in the house. She would love a quiet, comfortable home. Stratus is eligible for the Seniors-for-Seniors program, which means that approved adopters age 60 and over can adopt her free of charge! - Lollypop Farm

More Twist

Awhile ago I tried out and blogged about Twist cleaning sponges.

Last weekend I was at the store and I noticed they have a lot more scrubby items! I love some of the names like Dish Dumpling and Ravioli Scrubby. I got a pack of the Sponge Blossoms that come flat and then puff up when they get wet.

Also, the packaging for the Twist scrubbys can be made into birdfeeders!
