On our way back to Rochester, I spotted this Chipotle sign being hauled north on 390. We should have followed it. I am dying to know where it was going. I can only hope we are getting one in Rochester.

Last night was the season finale for The Celebrity Apprentice. Did you catch the mention of some of the celebrities talking about Kodak on the website Kodak World?
On Kodak World there are three videos from Vinny, Nely and Marilu. Vinny's spot is sooo good... you gotta watch it. Especially Soprano fans. Nely's spot is beautifully shot and it's hard not to get a little misty eyed when she tells her story of leaving Cuba without anything and going back as an adult to get her family photographs. Marilu's spot is funny. I actually got to watch it being taped last week. It reminds me of the Geico commercials where they get celebrity personalities to tell customer stories (which by the way has Mrs. Buttersworth in the latest)
You can watch them all here.

When I first started blogging, Aaron started a blog too. His blog eventually became rather neglected... much to my dismay. He just didn't show an interest in blogging.
He says he has a renewed interest in blogging because he has found his topic... getting his Smart Car. He now has a blog called smartcar a (the a=aaron). I am as excited about his new blog as I am about his new Smart Car on it's way!

Aaron got me these cat chocolates. Yum! Chocolates made out of kittys!
Update: Apparently "Katzenzungen" means "cat tongues". Which makes sense now looking at the shape of the chocolates. Thanks Karl!

So Domo was in NYC last week while Aaron was at an SEO conference and I tagged along.
Domo liked Rice to Riches.
Domo liked Muji.

Ruby eggs aka pickled eggs
I saw a link to these ruby eggs in YumSugar. We have these back home in Pennsylvania, except they are called pickled eggs. They look freaky, but I like 'em. We had some for Easter dinner.
They are pretty easy to make. They are just hard boiled eggs soaked in red beet juice. That's all.
I guess "ruby eggs" sound nicer than "pickled eggs".

Today the Easter bunny brought Aaron an authentic pair of British Wellies filled with peanut butter eggs.
Filled from the toes to the tops with peanut butter cups and eggs.

This year we got a 24k "gold" egg coloring kit for our Easter eggs.
We colored the eggs at my parents house with my sister. I think they turned out pretty nice.
It did a pretty good job coloring my fingers too.

I check Facebook every once in awhile. Take a few movie quizzes, throw sheep etc. I wouldn't say I was an avid user.
Then I discovered Flair! A Facebook application where you can create, share and add other people's buttons to your profile. I was enthralled. I was adding funny ones I found, making flair of Oscar and Stewie and sending them to my Facebook friends. I couldn't stop.
This really wasn't surprising, because in "real life" I love buttons. This is one side of a denim bag i own.
This is the other side.
I guess what it comes down to is that...

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
in an effort to combine St. Patrick's Day and the looming Easter holiday, I made shamrock Easter eggs. You can read about how I made these photo eggs with decoupage glue and blown eggs on 1000 Words today.
. You can leave me a comment there if you want... it's sadly commentlessSunday, March 16, 2008
We went to watch Lauren get her pictures taken again for spring. I was excited to see the bunny come out. Lauren liked him too... when he stayed in this basket.
When he hopped out of his basket... not so much. Even though she loves Oscar and Stewie, a freely hopping bunny was terrifying and was to be slid quickly away from. Back into a corner preferably.

I watched the St. Patrick's Day parade downtown today with Tina and Lauren (who is quite the flag waver). Even my friend Tom showed up with his kids in the chilly afternoon. We were there to see this...
Lookee there. Aaron marching along. Yay Aaron!

Back in February I read about these solid honey drops called honibe. I thought it was brililant. I love honey in my tea, but bringing it to work inevitably means getting all over my keyboard.
Now I am seeing them mentioned on blogs everywhere. Time to put in an order.

Sharpies are my writing implement of choice. I thought it was brilliant when they came out with the retractable Sharpies. I also like the Mini Sharpies.
I use the Ultrafine Sharpies for writing my day to day notes. I remember standing in the middle of Wegmans with the Ultrafine Sharpie cap in my mouth scratching out "egg noodles" wishing they made them retractable too.
A few weeks later I am watching TV and there is the pen I dreamed of being hawked by David Beckham. A Retractable Ultrafine!
But guess what? I went to Sharpie's website to check them out and found something even better. PERSONALIZED SHARPIES! How cool is that?
Here are a few I made. Dreamy.

I like Whoppers. I like to nibble off all the chocolate and save up a row of just malt and then eat them all at once.
I have seen Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers in the stores before.
Now I hear there are REECES PEANUT BUTTER WHOPPERS. Guuuuhhhhh. Peanut butter and malt? Be still my beating heart.
Just one problem. I am reading about them on blogs but I can't find them anywhere!

The song in the Stewie video is "New Soul" by Yael Naim. You might recognize it from the Apple Air commercial
(some food items to note... chocolate, grapes & raisins, macadamia nuts, mushrooms, onions & garlic, persimmons)
Here is the Dutch Baby recipe...
4 eggs1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter
Cut butter into a cast iron pan and heat in a 400 degree oven until the butter melts. While butter is melting, mix other ingredients together. Pull the pan out of oven, pour batter into it and return to the oven. Bake until puffy and browned, about twenty minutes.

The fruit experimentation continues...
Stewie likes raspberries too.
And one more video for the Oscar fans.
No music for this one, so you can hear the *licka licka sniff licka licka sniff* sound. Watch Oscar try and wipe his mouth on Stewie.

Lookit this breakfast Aaron made this morning.
Dutch baby! This is the first time he's made it in the cast iron skillet my mom found for us.
It think it makes the Dutch Baby super poofy which is the cool thing about Dutch
Babies.
Oh and the song I like to sing when we have one... (to the tune of Beach Boys "Beach Baby")
*Dutch Baby, Dutch Baby hot in the pan, Gonna taste so good with powdered sugar!*

I took this picture for Aaron. (I changed the plates in case you are wondering)
When Aaron found out Smart Cars were coming to the US, he got on the reservation program list. Everyday he checks his inbox for the "Come and pick up your Smart Car!" email. He plans on parking his truck and driving this and his scooter everywhere he needs to go.
Today I pulled up behind a Smart Car at a light on my way to work. I scrambed for my camera so he would know.... they're here!

I think Oscar is getting tired of the winter weather. He looks a little ho hum.
Hopefully it will be spring soon and we can take him camping.
I was wandering around a Tuesday Morning while Aaron was in his guitar lessons and they had dog camping tents!
So I went to Coleman's website and found all kinds of pet camping gear. I like what they had to say...
"Pets are a part of the family so there’s no reason they should be left behind when everyone goes camping. Coleman’s unique family of pet products makes it easy for you to take your pet along. All Coleman® pet products are designed with pets in mind and made of durable, long-lasting materials. Forget the dog sitter this camping season; take your faithful friend with you!"
They had dog tents and CAT tents. I am trying to visualize taking a cat camping.
The Mountaineer Cat Tent has:
• Adjustable side panels for ventilation and airflow
• Waterproof floor provides moisture barrier between your pet and the ground
• Weather-resistant fabric specially designed and treated to repel water
• Strong frame engineered to withstand windy conditions
That's good because Stewie would not be happy if he got wet or if he blew away.
Look how cute the Hibernation Sleeping Bag for Dogs is!
And the Bone Lounger would be a big hit too.
Let's be honest though. We could get Oscar the tent, the lounger and the sleeping bag, but when we take Oscar camping, we all know where he is going to be sleeping. In OUR tent, on top of MY pillow with my head squozen over to a tiny corner. As usual.
